Please read these terms carefully before booking a session or using this website. By making a booking or using our services, you agree to these terms.


1. About Vikashan

Vikashan provides online career counselling, psychotherapy, and wellbeing support services. Services are delivered by Vikashan Thayanithy, a sole trader operating in Australia. Contact: vik@vikashan.org.

2. Services

Sessions are provided online via Google Meet or Zoom and may include:

Vikashan is not a crisis service. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or present to your nearest emergency department.

3. Bookings

Bookings are confirmed once payment is received (for paid sessions) or once your booking request is accepted (for free consultations and returning clients). You will receive a confirmation email with your session details and a meeting link.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking if the service is not appropriate for your needs, and will provide a full refund in such cases.

4. Cancellation and rescheduling

To cancel or reschedule, reply to your confirmation email. We will always try to accommodate reasonable requests.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Pricing follows a sliding scale model — you choose a rate that reflects your financial situation honestly.

Payment plans are available for packages. If you have difficulty affording sessions, please reach out before booking — we will do our best to find something that works.

What you share in sessions is kept confidential. Exceptions include:

Vikashan services are supportive in nature. They are not a substitute for medical treatment, psychiatric care, or emergency services. Vikashan does not provide diagnoses.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the session fee paid.

8. Intellectual property

All website content, including text, design, and materials shared during sessions, is owned by Vikashan. You may not reproduce or distribute this content without permission.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of NSW courts.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
